I've realized lately that a few of the NeverShoutNever! music videos have Beatle-y vibes to them.

During last night's episode of ABC's FlashForward, FBI agent Mark Benford (Joseph Fiennes) was being told by his therapist that he should try a new drug to help him unlocke the missing parts of his flash forward.  Mark replied to her that he didn't to use the drugs to take him on a Magical Mystery Tour.  ;)  He ended up later changing his mind.

This is the 3rd time so far that The Beatles or one of The Beatles has been referred too.  The other 2 times was the song "Across the Universe" being played in a montage, and the other was during their Christmas episode and John's song "Happy Christmas (War is Over)" was played.

On the new NBC show Parenthood last night there was a Beatles reference last night when Max, the son of Adam Braverman (Peter Krause) was giving facts to him that Bob Dylan never had a number one and corrected his father that the doctor they were searching for shouldn't be called "The Bob Dylan of Aspergers" but should be referenced more to The Beatles or someone else who has had more number 1 singles.  The boy Max on the show has Aspergers Syndrome and Adam was taking his son to meet a specialist.

The Beatles again have been referenced on the soap opera The Young and the Restless during today's epiosde.  During this episode the character of Billy Abbot along with his mother Jill were looking for information on a character named Tucker McCall.  Tucker is now a huge corporate bilionare, but he got his start in the 70s managing a rock group that rose to worldwide superstardom.  This unnamed rock group is referenced by Billy as "the next Beatles".  Billy and Jill figured out that Tucker was selling art and different things to get leaders of other countires to play his band's music and that's really how they got famous.  The information hasn't been made public yet, but a few characters are planning to blackmail Tucker about it.

My friends are obsessed with Korean/Japanese boybands. I came across this picture, which reminded me a lot of the "With The Beatles" cover.

I don't even like Asian boys or boybands. I think they're ugly. XP

Weird story:
I was watching the Killers's video clip "Read My Mind". I wanted to found out what the green dinosaur was in that clip. So I read an article about it and typed the word in Wikipedia. Guess what Wikipedia wrote about Gachapin, the dinosaur:

"Rumors held that the character was based on Paul McCartney of The Beatles, but this was publicly denied."

Personally I don't think he looks like Paul. XD

The video clip and a picture of Gachapin are under the cut.

While I was watching the season 6 premiere of LOST last night a new character was introduced named Lennon.  He works at the temple on the Island as the translator for the character Doogen.  Besides the name being a shout out to John Lennon, the character bears a resemblance to him as well.  ;)

I was reading my university's newspaper and there was an article called "No More Lonely Knights." (our mascot is a Knight)  This made me smile, especially to think that the editors of the newspaper (or whomever titled that article) knew the Macca song.  ♥

I was searching for Arrested Development videos (because I'm turning into a huge Michael Cera fan) when suddenly the first video I see is a montage with "Help!" playing in the background. It really made my day/night.

Here's the videoCollapse )
